CrawfordWeather.com Is Looking For Snow Observers

CrawfordWeather.com is looking for snow observers around Crawford County and beyond for this upcoming winter! The job is simple. All you have to do is record snowfall once a day (preferably in the morning (7 AM is best), only when it snows. That’s it!

So what do you need to do the job?

-          A Ruler/Yardstick (At least 36 inches long)
-          A flat surface to measure off of, typically a piece of wood but a flat grassy area in your yard is fine. Make sure to measure from the SAME area every time.
-          A surface that is away from trees, buildings, etc.  The snow cannot be obstructed in any way.
-          Season long dedication to send in snow reports. The best scenario is if you send in snowfall measurements every day it snows. I know that you may forget a time or two but being reliable is extremely important. My goal is to relay accurate snowfall totals at the end of the year which requires measurements everyday.

***Note that you DO NOT have to live in Crawford County. I will gladly accept measurements from Erie, Venango, Warren, and Mercer counties as well.

If you are interested, please go to the link at the bottom of the page and follow these directions:

Fill out your name and an e-mail in which I can contact you at. Also, in the comments section please indicate where you will be measuring from. If you live IN a town, put the name of the town. If you live OUTSIDE of a town, put your township.
